Has anyone tried a mattifying balm before? It was a first for me! Let me know about your experience in the comments below…
Last week, I ordered the Veil Comestics Automatte Mattifying Balm out of curiosity. Before this, I had never tried a “mattifying balm” before. However, I do sometimes use powder to set my makeup.
This balm is a lot easier to apply than powder is. I always get the powder EVERYWHERE and end up having to do a major clean up. I think that the biggest benefit of this balm is that it’s a lot cleaner and simpler to apply.
It also looks better on my skin than powder does. This looks more natural. I dot it on my nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin after I’m finished applying my makeup.
I didn’t like the sponge that it originally comes with. I don’t think it works well to pick up the product. Instead, I decided to use a clean makeup brush and dip it in the balm. This works better for me.
