Amazon Vine is a program that was started in 2007 by Amazon. Companies pay a fee to Amazon and provide their products for review. These products are then passed to Amazon reviewers who then rate and review the items.
Amazon chooses Vine members out of everyone who writes reviews on Amazon. These reviewers are chosen for writing “accurate and insightful” reviews.
I have been a member of the Vine program for a year now. Since becoming a member, I have seen thousands of different items available. Brand name clothes, books, hair products, makeup, camping gear, fitness equipment, pet care, etc…. Basically, if you can buy it on Amazon there’s a good chance it has been up for grabs for Vine reviewers.
The program chooses people based on how often they review/how good those reviews are. Therefore, you don’t have to be an influencer or a professional writer. Vine reviewers just need to take a few minutes and review their ordered items.
Over time, if you review enough and are consistently thoughtful, you can be asked to join the program.
